Hajar Mountains Geo Tours Presents

The company was established in May 2010 as an independent Omani tour group offering a complete range of services in Oman. The name reflects the famous geographic feature of the country; Jabal Al Hajar (Hajar Mountains).

The Hajar Mountains (Arabic for stone mountains) are located in the northeastern parts of Oman and also the eastern United Arab Emirates. The mountains range are the highest the eastern Arabian Peninsula and they separate the low coastal plain of Oman from the high desert plateau, and lie 50–100 km inland from the Gulf of Oman coast.

The company specialises in conducting geological fieldtrips for the specialists as well as for the geology students, amateurs and tourists.     //read more

"As geoscientist working at the German University we take our students into the field so that they can study the rocks in nature. To do so we need to go to places which are remote and not always easy accessible. With Al Hajar Mountains Geotours we found a reliable partner who offers the services important for us. Most important is safety which does not only require reliable cars but also skilled and responsible drivers."
